PURPOSE:To improve the reliability with a small-sized and low-cost constitution by providing the first and second center adapters in the front end of a spindle of one disk motor and fixing and holding various kinds of optical discs held on a turntable by a clamper. CONSTITUTION:The first center adapter 15 which centers the first optical disk 50 is fixed to the front end of a spindle 3 of one disc motor 1, and a turntable 10 which is connected to the first center adapter and is positioned is fixed to the spindle 3. The second center adapter 20 which centers the second optical disk 60 is slidably provided under the first center adapter 15 with the spindle 3 as the guide. Thus, various kinds of optical disk held on the turntable are fixed and held by a clamper 30. By such constitution, the height of the device is reduced and the reliability is improved with a low cost.
