摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To promote the shortness of a double contrarotating shaft and the simplification of total arrangement construction, by arranging a power distributing means, which connects a main shaft system, transmitting power of a main engine, with a double contrarotating shaft driving a pair of propellers to be mutually contrarotated on the same axis, in the vicinity of a stern part. CONSTITUTION:A main shaft system 2, for transmitting power of a main engine set inside a ship body to a propeller device, is extended to the side of a stern end part. The stern end part provides the double contrarotating propeller device which drives a pair of propellers 6, 7 to be mutually contrarotated by a double contrarotating shaft 9 comprising an inner rotary shaft 10 and an outer rotary shaft 11. The main shaft system 2 is connected with the double contrarotating shaft 9 through a power distributing means 12 comprising planetary gears mechanisms 13-16, especially the power distributing means 12 is arranged in a stern structure 3. A length of the double contrarotating shaft 9 can be shortened by small decreasing a distance from the power distributing means 12 to each propeller 6, 7, and construction of the total arrangement can be small reduced.</p>
