PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic characteristics small in dark decay, superior in electrifiability characteristics, and resistant to deterioration of development contrast by incorporating a specified acridine derivative in an alcohol- soluble resin to form an interlayer. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body is composed of a substrate, the interlayer, and a photosensitive layer, and the interlayer contains the alcohol-soluble resin and as the constituent the acridine derivative represented by formula I in which each of R1, R1', R1'', R1''', and R2 is H or alkyl; each of R3 and R3' is H, alkyl, or halogen; R4 is H, alkyl, or the like; and X<-> is Cl<->, NO3<->, or the like. This electrophotographic sensitive body is electrified and imagewise exposed to light having a central wavelength of >=700nm in the step of forming a latent image. |
