Machine allowing plants, vegetables, or flowers cultivated in root balls to be planted entirely automatically, the machine being intended for farms in which cultivation is done in rows separated by so-called walkway circulation passages. It is composed: - of a plate carrying A and root balls extracting assembly; - of an extensible and tilting assembly B for taking up and transferring the root balls; - of an assembly C conveying in a closed circuit by means of suspended opening buckets 56, opening into a device D for turning the plants over, combined with a planting device E, which devices, each consisting of two discs 74-80 respectively hold the plants by the root balls and by the foliage as they are being transferred to the soil, and ensures perfect verticality of planting at the desired depth. <IMAGE>
