PURPOSE:To attain the easy and suitable filing control and to easily realize the interchangeability to different types of the recording material by providing a recording material, a storage means, a processing unit, a signal transferring means and a display device in a cartridge. CONSTITUTION:In a cartridge 7, a recording material 1, a storage means 4, a processing unit 3, a signal transferring means 2 and a display device 6. Into the means 4, the classification of the material 1 or the file name of the information recorded in the material 1 are recorded. Thus, the filing control and the interchangeability of the material 1 can be easily realized.
