PURPOSE:To obtain silver ion water at high concn. while the precipitation of silver colloid is prevented, by preparing acidic Ag<+> ion water or alkaline Ag(OH)2<->/Ag2(OH)<+> ion water using two electrolytic cells. CONSTITUTION:The title apparatus consists of a first electrolytic cell 11 and a second electrolytic cell 21 and both cells are connected by connection pipes 33, 34. Water introduced from a raw water introducing pipe 31 forms a silver ion in the first electrolytic cell 11. That is, the silver ion is formed between an anode rod 15 having silver or silver alloy 16 mounted thereto and a cathode plate 13 by electrolysis. Next, a part of water containing the silver ion passes through the connection pipe 34 to enter the anode chamber 27 of the second electrolytic cell 21 and can be taken out as acidic Ag<+> ion water from a pipe 38 because a cation such as an Na<+> ion is allowed to pass through a cathode chamber 28 by a diaphragm 26 and an anion such as Cl<-> can be concn. in the anode chamber 27. Alkaline silver ion water can be taken out from a pipe 37.
