PURPOSE:To apply spray painting even to a large number of articles to be painted having giant painting surfaces rapidly and homogeneously over the entire surfaces thereof, by constituting painting equipment making it possible to allow a painting robot not only to move to a lateral direction but also to rise and fall. CONSTITUTION:A truck 2 is allowed to move to the front surface of an article to be painted such as a wall body and fixed at a painting position. Subsequently, a lift table 3 is allowed to rise and fall by a hydraulic cylinder so that a spray gun is accurately opposed to the surface to be painted. The spray gun 14 is always accurately opposed to the surface to be painted within a definite area by the combination operation of the horizontal revolution of the main body 12 of a painting robot 10, the tilting thereof within a predetermined angle and the upward and downward inclining revolution thereof to perform homogeneous painting. In this case, a wide range of painting can be performed up to a height having the head (h) of the lift table 3 added thereto in the up-and-down direction and within the moving range of the truck 2 on a rail 1 in a lateral direction.
