PURPOSE:To prevent defective injection of ink due to residual foams, when filling the ink, by providing at least one pause interval in the way of suction of ink. CONSTITUTION:When a print head 1 faces and contacts tightly a gap 2, when a suction pump 3 is turned on, ink is sucked from a tank 7. After suction for 8 sec., the suction pump is turned off, and a valve is opened simultaneously for 0.5 sec. followed by one minute pause. Thereafter, the suction pump functions again, and during the operation of the suction pump, the valve is opened for 0.5 sec. every 5 sec. and the suction pump is finally turned off, thus finishing a series of operation. A foam sticked to a flow path is floated by the stoppage of suction of ink through opening of valve and the one minute pause, while the foam rises through a reservoir 11 in the print head and gathered at the upper section then discharged by the next suction. |
