PURPOSE:To make it possible to sustain the low speed line pressure at a high value, and to enhance the cooling efficiency of oil during high load operation, by providing a check valve having an restrictor orifice, in a feed circuit for supplying oil into a torque converter so that this valve is opened and closed. CONSTITUTION:Oil from an oil pump 1 is fed into an oil passage 5 communicated with a torque converter through a restrictor orifice 3a and a check valve 4 which are disposed in an oil passage 3 in a hydraulic circuit applied with a line pressure, and oil which is heated through the torque converter is cooled down by an oil cooler. The above-mentioned passages 3, 5 are formed in the hollow section in an oil pump drive shaft 1a. Further, the check valve 4 has a cap-like valve element 4a which abuts against a valve seat plate 6 provided on the oil passage 3 side, and which is urged by a spring 7. Further, a restrictor orifice 8 is formed in the center section of the valve element 4a, and a gap 1b is formed between a communication hole 9a formed in the outer peripheral section thereof and the inner peripheral surface of the above-mentioned shaft 1a.
