PURPOSE:To prevent equalizer processing against the intension of an operator from being applied by providing an arithmetic means so as to apply a prescribed equalizer processing to a digital signal inputted to a digital equalizer in response to the output of an error detection means and outputting the result. CONSTITUTION:When no error exists in a coefficient data added with an error check code by an error check circuit 6, only coefficient data are extracted and outputted to an arithmetic section 3. The digital signal inputted to the digital equalizer is inputted once to a data memory 4 and latched, the result is outputted to the arithmetic section 3. The processing of the equalizer processing of a prescribed digital filter is applied and outputted by using the coefficient data inputted to the operation section. Thus, the coefficient data inputted to the arithmetic section 3 is equal to the coefficient data set by a control section 1, and should the coefficient data in the coefficient memory 2 be changed due to an external noise or the like, since the coefficient data subject to change is not outputted to the operation section 3, the equalizer processing against the intension of the operator is not applied.
