A test paper machine, provided principally for a pilot plant, laboratory use and for process control, consists of an endless fourdrinier wire with guide rolls, a pulp stock feed device for the production of a paper sheet or paper web on the wire, a drying arrangement for drying the paper sheet produced and a control unit for regulating the test paper machine, it being required to provide a test paper machine which can be directly controlled on the basis of the properties of the paper sheet/paper web. According to the invention, at least one on-line measuring arrangement for the measurement of the properties of the paper sheet/paper web is provided in association with the drying arrangement and the measuring arrangement serves for regulating the test paper machine via the control unit.
