Process for originally and subsequently finishing textile operating theatre material, in particular patients' drapes (covering cloths) and surgical gowns (protective clothing). The material is washed, if necessary dry (chemically) cleaned, disinfected and thereafter provided with a hydrophobic impregnation comprising fluorocarbon compounds.
