PURPOSE:To cool a disk brake by utilizing an oil damper by connecting both ends of a cooling oil passage of a brake caliper to an oil pressure generating chamber of the oil damper respectively via check valves. CONSTITUTION:When a front fork F is shrunk during the travel of a vehicle, oil pressure is generated in a lower oil pressure generating chamber of an oil damper Da to open the first check valve 381, and oil is fed to the oil passage of a brake caliper C via a guide pipe 36. When the front fork is extended, the lower oil pressure generating chamber 29 is decompressed to open the second check valve 382, and oil is returned to the lower oil pressure generating chamber 29 via a discharge pipe 37. As a result, the brake caliper C is cooled by the flow of oil. On the other hand, a check valve 28 in the front fork F is opened, the oil in the lower oil pressure generating chamber 29 flows into an upper oil pressure generating chamber 30, and a damping action is performed by the compressive force of a coil spring 27 and the passage resistance of the check valve 28.
