PURPOSE:To simplify an electrode structure and improve a withstand voltage characteristic as well as to make the velocity modulation of an electron beam in the horizontal direction, by shifting a center axis of the opening of a first electrode from that of the opening of a second electrode in the opposite direction to each other and also in the horizontal scanning direction each. CONSTITUTION:A fourth grid 40 is constituted of a first 4th grid 41 being set up at the side proximate to cathodes KR, KG and KB and having apertures 41R, 41G and 41B corresponding to each of three electron beams and a second 4th grid 42 being set up at the more distant side than these cathodes KR, KG and KB and having apertures 42R, 42G and 42B corresponding to each of these three electron beams. And, each center axis of these apertures 41R, 41G and 41B of the first 4th grid 41 is shifted from each center axis of these apertures 42R, 42G and 42B of the second 4th grid in the opposite direction to each other and also in the electron beam horizontal scanning direction each as centering on each center axis of these three electron beams emitted out of these cathodes.
