PURPOSE:To obtain good high-frequency output power low in a mode mixture rate of out-put, by setting up a sweep coil on the circumference of a collector part, between a main coil an output aperture side cancel coil within the repercussion range of a magnetic field of the main coil. CONSTITUTION:On the circumference of a gyrotron body 5, there are provided with an electron gun coil 6, a main coil 7 and an output aperture side cancel coil 8 each being correspondent to an electron gum 1, a resonant cavity part 2 and a collector part 9. And, a sweep coil 10 is set up between the main coil 7 and the output aperture side cancel coil 8 within the repercussion range of a magnetic field of the main coil 7. With this constitution, there is unnecessary to install a taper part in the collector part 9, therefore such parts that mode conversion may occur are decreased. In consequence, good high-frequency output power low in a mode mixture rate of output is securable.
