PURPOSE:To increase pushing pressure as well as to keep off the occurrence of implosion in an effective manner, by setting up plural pieces of a tension band in the tube axial direction at a time when these tension bands are attached to the circumference of a panel skirt part of a cathode-ray tube. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive tape of an adhesive material 11 of a pressure sensitive adhesive or the like is stuck to the circumference of a panel skirt 1a of a panel part 1 for a tube body 4 of a cathode-ray tube, and a rim band 12 is attached to the top. Next, two tension bands 13 and 23, in which a caulking member 14 is inserted through, are attached thereto in parallel in the tube axial direction and tightened, whereby the panel skirt part 1a is forcibly pressed inward the tube body 4 via the rim band 12 and the adhesive material 11. And, one tension band is made so as to be easy to go along the rim band 12 without widening its width, thus a working property is improved. Accordingly, pushing pressure is easily increased and, what is more, prevention of implosion is thus promotable in an effective manner.
