摘要 To compare a value range which is specified by an upper and lower limit with a numeric value, a component (1) is loaded via switches (S0 to S3) which are connected to a key switch (T0). Limiting values are loaded into the component (1) by activating the switches and key switch in a special sequence in time. A value to be compared, in binary form, is entered into the component (1) via the inputs (EA0 to EA3). Whether the value to be compared was within the upper and lower limits can be recognised at the comparison output (EQ) of the component (1). The state of the component (1) on entry can be recognised visually using a supplementary display element (4). Other components (2, 3) can be connected if required. <IMAGE>
