<p>PURPOSE:To prevent reduction in the coordinate reading speed against the extension of the coordinate reading range, by attaining the increase of the repeating cycle width of the induced voltage characteristics owing to use of a group of a small number of fine position sense lines as well as the reduction of the total number of sense lines for detection of coordinates with reduction of the number of rough position sense lines due to said increase of the repeating cycle. CONSTITUTION:The induced voltage characteristics of a fine sense line is repeated in a cycle 2P against the distribution pitch P of a loop-shaped part. Then four fine sense lines shifted by width Z(=P/4) toward the detected coordinate axis are used to form a group. Thus the coordinate position within the cycle 2P can be detected by said group of fine sense lines. Then a specific cycle within which a coordinate indicator 4 is positioned can be detected a group of rough sense line which divide a coordinate reading range with width Q(=ZG) which is less than 2P. In other words, the total number of sense lines used for detection of coordinates can be reduced by the increase of the repeating cycle width due to a small number of fine position sense lines and the reduction of the number of rough position sense lines due to said increase of the repeating width.</p> |
