The system is formed by station nodes connected to one another via transmissions at each end of which is a special voltage adjustment unit of the converter type which adjusts the transmission voltage to that of the station. The adjustment unit in each case has an inbuilt switch function of the thyristor type. The system provides a mains structure with independent station nodes and transmissions. - Each individual transmission can be connected for an optimal voltage level, and given an individual adjustment which from a voltage viewpoint does not affect the other transmissions in the system. Effect transport takes place in accordance with the same principle as for normal point to point transmission, and each station node is rendered independent by the adjustment units, but within a cohesive system. |
