PURPOSE:To maintain a high sealability at all times, by constructing a sealing member interposed between a valve body and a ball received in the valve body from a seat ring contacting the ball and a spring member comprising a ring-like notched tube and a coil spring inserted in the notched tube. CONSTITUTION:A ball 23 having a through passage is received in a valve chest 22 communicated with fluid inlet 28 and outlet 21 in a body 20. The ball 23 is rotated through a valve stem 25 to open and close the fluid inlet 28 and outlet 21. Substantially annular sealing members 30 for sealing the valve are interposed between the body 20 and the ball 23 around the fluid inlet 28 and outlet 21 on opposite sides of the valve chest 22. Each sealing member 30 is constituted of a metal seat ring 1 contacting the outer peripheral surface of the ball 23 and a spring member 5 comprising a ring-like notched tube 3 and a coil spring 2 inserted in the notched tube 3. A soft metal thin plate ring 7 is provided to contact the spring member 5 at least on one side of the fluid inlet 28 and outlet 21.
