<p>The method and device disclosed for the sanitation of waste dumping grounds (10) by post-laying of a liquid impervious layer are based both on the shield advance principle and on the longwall working method, the advance device being substantially configured like a rectangular unit. The cover plates (2) covering the base plates (3) are interconnected by hydraulic jacks (16). A face stanchion (29) provided at the front and a support shield (17) provided at the rear face form a completely closed tunnel which advances under the dumping ground (10) in an articulated way and by sheeting and under the protection of which it is possible to incorporate sealing sole-plates. The material broken off under the breast is transported behind the support shield (17) where it is compacted, whereafter the individual devices stayed by traction jacks (18) advance step by step and by cycle.</p> |
