Two free-wheels acting in the same direction of rotation are united to form a compact machine element for two independent machine drives operating at different speeds of rotation. The design of the wedging surfaces of the common inner ring as described in Patent Application P 3615005.3 provides the possibility of displacing the wedging elements, with the aid of pivotable change-over segments in such a way that the twin free wheel according to the invention can be locked or released in both directions of rotation.
