SHOPPING-CAR WHEEL

The wheel (2) of a supermarket trolley, or of a perambulator etc. is attached to the axle (1) by a U-shaped clip (8). The axle has a circumferential groove (4) in which the legs of the clip are pressed. The hub (7) of the wheel has two bridge-like elements (9) and two curved ridges running roughly at right angles to the bridges. The clip is inserted under the bridge elements and between the ridges which press the legs of the clip into the groove.
