<p>Method and mold (10) for spin casting articles, such as contact lenses, from a liquid polymerization mixture (18) containing a volatile component. Loss of this volatile component from the mixture (18) is prevented by providing, from a separate reservoir (20), a liquid volatile substance (21) which volatilizes and fills the space (20) above the liquid polymerization mixture (18). Unacceptable deviations from the expected geometric configuration of the article are thus avoided.</p> |
