发明名称 SURFACE TREATED ELECTRODE USING ACTIVATED CARBON FIBER
摘要 PURPOSE:To increase productivity of a metal-halogen battery by using polyvinyl alcohol group activated carbon fibers whose pore size of fibers forming a sheet is specified, and relative surface area, weight per area, and strength are specified in a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:A uniform sheet of polyvinyl alcohol group activated carbon fibers whose pores have the peak of pore radius distribution between 13-30Angstrom , relative surface area is 1500-2800m<2>/g, weight per area is 100-200g/m<2>, and strength is 150-1407g/m<2> is used as the surface active layer of a positive electorde. This layer is united onto a substrate for the electrode to form a surface treated electrode for a metal-halogen battery such as zinc-bromine battery. Therefore, operation characteristics are increased, and mechanical strength is increased to enhance processability and productivity.
