Device consisting of a housing provided with a gas inlet and outlet grid, and a fan. The problem is to produce an easily-made device for cleaning air, especially for air conditioning plant, in which, by using electrical means presenting no hazards to man, air can be purified in an excellent manner and be freed of germs and bacteria. The invention consists in arranging in the housing at least one electrically-charged grid of a discharge path, said grid being connected to a tapping on the secondary winding of a Tesla transformer and forming the one pole of a discharge path for the high-frequency power produced in the Tesla transformer.
