<p>PURPOSE:To improve the orientation of liquid crystal and the yield of a display electrode array, and to facilitate control over a cell gap by setting the position of a display picture element electrode to height equal to or higher than the highest part of a thin film FET. CONSTITUTION:The thin film FET consists of a gate electrode 12, a semiconductor thin film 14, a drain electrode 16, a source electrode 17, etc. Then, the position of the display picture electrode 15 is set to the height equal to or higher than the drain electrode 16 and source electrode 17 at the highest part of the thin film FET. Consequently, the liquid crystal orientation of an active matrix type display device is improved.</p> |
