PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic sensitive material having superior color reproducibility, improving the light fastness of a magenta dye image and preventing Y-stain under light and wet heat by incorporating a specified coupler and a specified compound into a photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of magenta coupler represented by formula I and at least one kind of compound represented by formula II are incorporated into a silver halide photographic sensitive material. In the formula I, Z is a group of nonmetallic atoms required to form a hetero ring contg. N, X is H or a substituent releasable by a reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent and R is H or a substituent. In the formula II, R<1> is an aliphat ic group, cycloalkyl or aryl and Y is a group of nonmetallic atoms required to form a heptamethyleneimine ring together with N. The coupler is usually used by 1X10<-3>-1mol, preferably 1X10<-2>-8X10<-1>mol per 1mol silver halide. The preferred amount of the compound used is 5-400mol%, especially 10-300mol% of the amount of the coupler. |
