An information recording carrier of an air-sandwich type has a pair of disc-shaped substrates, of which at least one bears a recording coating, and a spacer provided on the outer circumference as well as a spacer provided on the inner circumference, which is thinner than the outer spacer, the spacers between the substrates being arranged concentrically and having the effect that the substrates are arranged one above the other in such a way that the recording coating is positioned on the inside of the substrates arranged one above the other.
