PURPOSE:To inexpensively execute a developing process which makes always stable and uniform development, obviates the generation of uneven development, does not require the need for a liquid exchange and has excellent workability by supplying a prescribed alkaline liq. developer onto a positive type photosensitive lithographic printing plate to form a liquid film of a prescribed thickness at every developing process. CONSTITUTION:The positive type photosensitive lithographic printing plate (PS plate) subjected to an image exposing is automatically conveyed and developed by using an automatic developing machine. The alkaline liq. developer which contains the unused water as a main solvent and has <=50dyne/cm surface tension is supplied onto the PS plate and is applied thereto in the form of the liquid film having 0.01-1mm thickness at every developing process, by which the developing process is executed. The method for forming the liquid film of the developer includes a method using plural pieces of rolls, method using a surface-roughened roll, method using a slit, method using a blade, method using an air knife, etc. An aq. soln. essentially consisting of an alkaline agent is used for the liq developer. |
