In a stackable bottle crate having a compartment division for receiving, in particular, large beverage bottles provided with a reinforcing bottom part, which bottle crate is provided on its underside, for each compartment, with a cutout for receiving the upper part of bottles of a stacking layer located below it, the cutouts in the crate bottoms, which are bounded essentially by the lower edge of the crate walls, are drawn into the interior of the crate, and the compartment walls bounding the compartments have essentially the height of the crate.
