PURPOSE:To provide a structure of a mortar which can mold powder having high adhesiveness with a good parting property by using an arom. polyamide resin to form a sliding part for sliding an upper pestle and lower pestle which compress and mold the powder packed in the mortar. CONSTITUTION:The inside peripheral part of the metallic mortar body 1 of a rotary type powder compression molding machine is stepped and screwed and the cylindrical arom. polyamide resin 2 is inserted into the stepped part. A cylindrical resin retainer 3 made of a metal is screwed to the mortar body 1 to fix the resin 2. A mortar hole 4 is formed of the sliding part 5 which is the inside periphery of the resin 2 and the inside periphery of the resin retainer 3. The upper pestle 6 and the lower pestle 7 are screwed into a turning groove 9. A powder compression molding is manufactured by packing powder 8 between the upper pestle 6 an the lower pestle 7 and vertically compressing the upper and lower pestles 6, 7. Even the powder having the high adhesiveness with which continuous compression molding is heretofore considered difficult is easily molded by the above-mentioned constitution. Since the gloss is maintained without giving injuries such as flaws to the molding, the merchandise value and quality are improved.
