The invention relates to a process for producing moulded parts, for example upholstery moulded parts, consisting of a cover body and a filling body, preferably upholstery body, using a textile composite material which consists of a flexible or non-flexible textile fabric and a foam layer based on polyethylene, the foam layer having a skin on at least one side or having sealed pores, first the cover body being produced from the textile composite material as a storable intermediate product and the introduction of the filling body, for example foam filling, being carried out separately.
