PURPOSE:To prevent an end mark and improve the operability by fixing the base bottom part of the thin plate with taper extending in the reverse direction to the drum rotation in the tangential direction of the surface of a winding drum. CONSTITUTION:The base bottom part of the tapered sheet 8 extending in the surface tangential direction of a winding drum 3 is fitted with its fixture. The tip part of a metal plate 1 is first inserted between the tapered sheet 8 and winding drum 3 and after setting it the sheet 8 and metal plate 1 are pressed by a belt wrapper 10 with rotating the drum 3. The winding of the metal plate 1 is performed by loosening the tension of the belt wrapper 10. In this case, the sheet 8 is interposed even in case of the metal plate 1 being lapped by turning round the drum 3 and an about roundness is formed on the outer periphery, so the generation of the end mark can be prevented. Moreover, a complicated working becomes unnecessary and the operability is improved.
