<p>PURPOSE:To remarkably improve the dust collection efficiency and dust collecting capacity of the title cleaner by opposing an air-permeable ground electrode to an ionization electrode on the upstream side of the prefilter of an air-permeable fibrous insulator to cross the ionization electrode, and forming a high-electric field part on the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:The air-permeable ground electrode 7 is provided on the upstream side of the preheater 8 of an air-permeable fibrous insulator, and opposed to the ionization electrode 1 on the downstream side in the electrostatic air cleaner for household and an automobile. The ionization electrode 1 is allowed to cross the counter ground electrode 7 and passing air, and the high-electric field part is further formed on the downstream side. The dust is polarized by the high-electric field part before the dust-contg. air reaches the ionization electrode part. Accordingly, even considerably fine dust is electrostatically collected, extremely fine dust is charged at the ionization part and collected at the high-electric field part, and the dust collection efficiency is remarkably improved.</p> |
