PURPOSE:To facilitate work through a service port, and to simplify the manufacture of a superconducting magnet by forming a cryogenic-liquid injection port on the upper section side of one end in the axial direction of a vacuum vessel, fixing the cryogenic- liquid injection port side to a cryogenic vessel and a radiation shield and supporting the injection port side in the axial direction of the vacuum vessel. CONSTITUTION:The inside diameter side of an inner cylinder 11a in a vacuum vessel 11 forms a normal-temperature effective space, to which a body to be tested is gained access, a cryogenic vessel 12 blocking a section between both opening end sections of a double cylinder is arranged in a vacuum heat-insulating space 11c in the vacuum vessel 11, a cryogenic liquid such as liquid helium 13 is housed in the space 11c, and a superconducting coil 14 is dipped in the helium. The outer cylinder of the double cylinder is used as a first shield 15a and an inner cylinder as a second shield 15b, a radiation shield 15 blocking sections among both opening end sections of the outer and inner cylinders is disposed so as to surround the cryogenic vessel 12, and a refrigerant such as liquid nitrogen is housed in the shield 15. Accordingly, the cryogenic vessel 12 arranged in the vacuum heat-insulating space 11c in the vacuum vessel 11 and both end sections of the radiation shield 15 are hung down by a load support 16. |
