PURPOSE:To obtain a preventive and remedy for hangover symptom, by combining a compound such as L-cysteine, etc., with ascorbic acid and activated vitamin. CONSTITUTION:The objective antidote for acetaldehyde contains the compound of formula (R is H or acyl; R' is thiol or sulfone; n is 1 or 2) (e.g. L-cysteine, L-monocysteinic acid, etc.), ascorbic acid or its salt (e.g. L-ascorbic acid) and a disulfide-type thiamine or its salt [e.g. thiamine disulfide (TDS)]. The antidote is useful as a preventive and remedy for hangover symptom. Since disulfide-type thiamine reacts with the compound of formula by compounding, direct contact of both components should by prevented. An agent having further excellent aldehyde antidotal effect can be produced by adding a cholagogue in addition to the above 3 components. |
