PURPOSE:To obtain a retreaded tire, in which an old worn tread is replaced with a new tread by bonding, by a method wherein a chord layer with chords intersecting the chords of a tire casing is bonded previously by vulcanizing at the side of the trough of the tread groove of the new tread with a space of a specified value, then, an unvulcanized cushion rubber belt is interposed by bonding, thereafter, these parts are bonded integrally through vulcanizing. CONSTITUTION:The chords 16 of a chord layer 17 are arranged so as to be intersecting the chords 12, 13 of a tire casing 10 so that a triangle effect is generated by intersecting the chords 12, 13, 16. A space L between the chord layer 17 and the trough of tread grooves 15 is specified to 3 mm or more so as not to generate the generating factor of a crack from the trough of the grooves. A new tread 14 is bonded onto a separated surface 11 while interposing an unvulcanized cushion rubber belt 18. Thereafter, these members are mounted on a vulcanizing device to heat and press them toward the tire casing 10 and produce a cusion rubber layer 18A by vulcanizing the cushion rubber belt 18 thereby bonding these three members integratiy with each other through the cusion rubber layer.
