PURPOSE:To obtain a picture signal processor to which picture signals obtained from a CCD image sensor are connected naturally at the midpoint of an original by providing a control circuit sensing overlapped part of each CCD image sensor and controlling the read address of a picture memory. CONSTITUTION:The titled device consists of CCD image sensors 5, 6, lenses 7, 8 and a length finding original 9. In using the plural CCD image sensors 5, 6, plural lines are drawn on the face of the length finding original 9 and the overlapped part of the CCD image sensors 5, 6 is detected at the read of a picture signal and the read address of the picture memories 18, 19 to eliminate the overlap is controlled by a read control circuit 21. Thus, the position of the CCD image sensors 5, 6 has only to be adjusted roughly to obtain picture signals connected naturally at the midpoint 13 of the original.
