<p>NEW MATERIAL:A carbostyril derivative of formula I or its acid addition salt (R<1> is lower alkenyl or phenyl; R<2> is H, lower alkenyl, or lower alkyl; the bond between the 3- and the 4-carbon atoms of the carbostyril skeleton is single or double bond). EXAMPLE:5-(2-Hydroxy-3-allylaminopropoxy)-3,4-dihydrocarbostyril. USE:Preanestheic medication, hipnotic, centrally muscle relaxant, preoperative drug, antischizothimic agent, sedative, tranquillizer, antihistaminic, etc. PROCESS:The compound I is prepared by reacting 1 mole of a compound II with >=1 mole, pref. 1-3 moles of a compound III at 0-100 deg.C, pref. room temp. -80 deg.C, for 1-10 hours. It can be converted to an acid addition salt by reacting with a pharmaceutically permissible acid.</p> |
