发明名称 RECEIVING SHEET FOR THERMAL TRANSFER
摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to favorably reproduce intermediate gradations of images, to clearly receive a monochroic ink or multiple color inks and to print characters or images with high resolution, by providing a sheet having a multilayer structure which comprises a surface layer comprising a thermoplastic film containing at most a specified amount of an inorganic fine powder and a paper-shape layer comprising a thermoplsatic resin film containing an inorganic fine powder in an amount in a specified range. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic paper comprising a biaxially stretched polyolefin film of a multilayer structure containing an inorganic pigment is used as a receiving sheet. The receiving sheet has a multilayer structure which comprises a surface layer comprising a thermoplstic film containing 0-3 wt.% of an inorganic fine powder, a paper-shape layer comprising a thermoplsatic resin film containing 8-65 wt.% of an inorganic fine powder and, preferably, a base layer. This arrangement realizes higher density reproducibility higher dot shape reproducibility in an image-forming system for reproducing intermediate-gradation images, and realizes uniform reproduction of hues and densities of full-color recorded images. It is necessary that the amount of the inorganic fine powder in the paper-shape layer is at least 8 wt.% for enhancing the opacity of the synthetic paper, and the upper limit of the amount is 65 wt.% in consideration of mechanical strength such as compressive strength and tensile strength.
