PURPOSE:To minimize signal errors among a digital computing element, a logic computing element and a display device, by using the digital computing element, the logic computing element which instructs a multiplier of the multiplication to the digital computing element, and the display device which displays said instructed multiplier. CONSTITUTION:An error correcting circuit 12 corrects errors and the interleaved 16-bit digital audio signal is supplied to a digital attenuator 31. Then this audio signal is digitally attenuated by the attenuator 31. A logic computing element 32 instructs the rate of the digital audio signal attenuated by the attenuator 31 and also displays the rate value directly on a sound volume level display device 33. Then the element 32 instructs the rate of the signal to be attenuated to the attenuator 31 and this instructed value is displayed directly on the device 33. In such a way, the error produced between the displayed sound volume level and the digital audio signal attenuated by the attenuator 31 can be minimized.
