PURPOSE:To prevent a damage to a video camera by constituting the titled apparatus by an image pickup lens, a photoelectric converting means, a supporting means, a rotary supporting means, a detection means and a lock means so as to attain the miniaturization and light weight for the entire motion picture camera. CONSTITUTION:The titled apparatus is provided with an image pickup lens 10 picking up an object, a photoelectric conversion means 11 converting an optical image from the lens 10 into an electric signal, a supporting means 12 supporting integrally the image pickup lens 10 and the photoelectric conversion means 11 in a way that the optical axes made coincident, rotary supporting means 23, 24, 26, 27 supporting freely turnably the support means 12 in the panning direction (or pitching direction), a detection means 47 detecting whether or not an accessory is mounted to the support means 12, and a locking means locking the support means 12 at a prescribed position by the output of the detection means 47. Thus, the miniaturization and light weight are facilitated and the lens barrel is locked before the lens cap is loaded, then the care to damages to the video camera is precluded.
