PURPOSE:To prevent the variation of a distance between a collimater lens and a semiconductor laser and the alteration of the refractive index of a lens, and to obtain stable laser beams by fitting a temperature control mechanism to a lens mount holding the collimater lens and controlling the temperature of lens itself at a fixed value. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical temperature control mechanism 50 is fitted externally around a lens mount 30, and a temperature control circuit 52 for electrically controlling the mechanism 50 is connected. A device such as a thermistor 54 is buried to the lens mount 30 as a sensor for detecting a temperature on the input side of the circuit 52 and the output side of the temperature control circuit 52 is connected to the temperature control mechanism 50, and a device, such as a nichrome wire, a rubber heater, a Peltier element, etc., can be utilized preferably as a heater for the lens mount. The temperature control circuit 52 controls a collimater lens 38 so that the refractive index of the collimater lens does not alter by thermal expansion and the like and so that a distance from a semiconductor laser 40 of the collimater lens 38 does not vary by the temperature change of the lens mount 30. |
