PURPOSE:To evaluate an irregularity in density quantitatively by digitizing the difference in density between a white paper part and a colored part and evaluating variance in the density difference. CONSTITUTION:Printing paper 1 which has the printing result of a printer, etc., is inputted to an image recognizing device 3 by an image input device 2. Then, inputted image information is transferred to an electronic computer 5 while visualized on an image monitor 4. Then, the computer 5 digitizes the density difference between the white paper (where neither a print nor a drawing is present) and colored part (print or drawing part) and evaluates variance in the density difference among many colored parts. Then this evaluation result is displayed on a computer display device 6. Consequently, the inspection result which is qualitative is made quantitative and variation in the inspection result due to individual differences, fatigue, etc., is eliminated. |
