PURPOSE:To improve the operativity of correction from outside a timepiece by providing a timer circuit with a ready signal generating means which discriminates photodetection conditions different from those in normal portage and controlling and correcting the conditions of photodetection of two photodetecting elements. CONSTITUTION:When the time is corrected, a person who carries the timepiece controls the photodetection elements with fingers from outside the timepiece and then the control ready signal Sc is generated at an output terminal Os of a control signal generating circuit 20 and supplied to the correction specifying terminal Ic of a correction control circuit 16 and a display driving circuit 17 to enable correcting operation. In this state, the circuit 16 specifies a second correction terminal Os and the circuit 17 flashes the second display part of a digital display device to enter a second correction mode. Then, a photodetecting element 5 for digit selection is varied in density to enter a minute correction mode, and the minute digits are corrected after a photodetecting element 6 for correction is varied in density. Then, the element 5 is varied in brightness to enter a time correction mode and the element 6 is varied in correction to correct the hour digits. Thus, the hour, minute, and second are corrected and then the element 5 is varied in density to specify the end of the specification. |
