PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a sensor and to measure gas concentration in vivo body by providing a coating layer between a hydrogen ion carrier layer and a gas permeable layer. CONSTITUTION:A pH electrode lead wire 2-a is fixed to the bottom surface of a conductive base 1 with a conductive adhesive 8, and the outer periphery of the base 1 is coated with a heat-shrinkable tube and insulated. Further, the tip part of the base 1 is polished to adjust the surface product of an exposed part, and an oxidation reducing function layer 5 is formed on the exposed surface of the base 1 by electrolytic oxidation polymerization. Then a silver wire is wound from an end of the hydrogen ion carrier layer 7, the remaining wire is used as a reference electrode lead wire 2-b, and the part of the lead wire is coated with 'Teflon(R)' resin 3 and insulated. Further, part of it is fixed to epoxy resin to form an insulating layer 9 and then a constant-current electroanalysis is taken to form a silver chloride film at the silver exposed part, thus manufacturing a reference electrode 4. The coating film 6 covers the electrode 4, pH electrode part, and insulating layer 9 respectively and the gas permeable layer 10 further covers the coating layer 6. Thus, the gas concentration in vivo is measurable. |
