发明名称 HEAD LOADING MECHANISM FOR FLOPPY DISK DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten energizing time and to reduce power consumption by providing a latch mechanism which holds mechanically a loading state and a latch release means which actuates the latch mechanism at the beginning of generation of the unloading signal to a head and releases a latch state. CONSTITUTION:When a head loading signal (a) is produced in a head unloading state, a front end differential signal (b) is produced at the rise of the signal (a) and a head loading solenoid 12 is energized. Then a plunger 13 is over-driven and attracted and a head loading arm 9 is turned counterclockwise. Thus a head is loaded and a latch pin 21 is locked at a position P1 of a heart-shaped cam 18. When the signal (b) is not available yet, the plunger 13 is reset by a spring 16 and locked at a position P2. Hereafter the head is kept in a loading state. When a rear end differential signal (c) is not available yet, the plunger 13 is reset and the arm 9 is turned clockwise. Then the head is unloaded. Therefore, no energization is needed in the periods excepting for each minute time and the energizing time is greatly reduced together with reduction of power consumption.
