PURPOSE:The titled composition having extremely improved discoloration resis tance and improved long-term heat stability, obtained by blending a chlorine- containing resin with an organotin perchlorate. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. chlorine-containing resin (e.g., vinyl chloride resin, vinylidene chloride resin, etc.) is blended with 0.001-5pts.wt. organotin perchlorate (e.g. monomethyltin triperchlorate, etc.) shown by formula III (R is alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, etc.,; X is ClO4; a is 1-3; b is 1 or 2). Use of the organotin perchlorate together with a conventional additive such as metallic salt of organic acid, metallic oxide, basic inorganic acid salt, organic phosphite compound, antioxidant, light stabilizer, etc., provides synergistic effects.
