PURPOSE:The titled composition having improved discoloration resistance in processing, obtained by blending a chlorine-containing resin with a metallic salt of a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. chlorine-containing resin (e.g., vinyl chloride homopolymer, copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate, etc.) is blended with 0.001-3pt.wt., preferably 0.01-0.5pt.wt. metallic salt (metal is Ba, Ca, Mg, Al, Sr, Sn, Zn, Na, K or Li) of a compound shown by the formula (R<1> and R<2> are alkyl, alkenyl, phenyl, etc.,) (e.g., zinc 2,4-dihydroxy-3,5- diacetylpyran-2-one, etc.).
